Mission & Goals What is a CDFI? LCLF Funding Sources The Loan Process Products and Services Eligibility Requirements Preliminary Application Board

Lynchburg Community Loan Fund (LCLF) was started in March 2001 with the fundamental purpose of promoting and supporting homeownership throughout the Lynchburg area, with a special focus on low-income individuals and distressed communities.

The Board of Directors and Staff at Lynchburg Community Loan Fund (LCLF) are committed to finding alternate funding sources to facilitate home ownership and owner-occupied home improvement in the economically distressed areas of Lynchburg.  LCLF is especially interested in building individual wealth of low income persons, specifically those whose income falls at or below 80% of the area median income.  The largest concentration of that population resides in the downtown area.

LCLF will provide qualified first-time home buyers, 1st and 2nd mortgage loans at affordable rates.  Financial counseling and pre- and post-purchase buyer counseling is integral to the LCLF loan services package.  Qualified homeowners living in the target areas can receive loan assistance to make repairs to their homes such as electrical upgrades, weatherization, and aesthetic improvements.
