Shelter Plus Care
In collaboration with the City of Lynchburg and Miriam's House, LNDF administers the Lynchburg Shelter-Plus-Care program through which 10 households can receive rental assistance (subsidy for rent) in excess of 30% of the tenant's income. Participants must be considered homeless, have a documented disability, and must cooperate with necessary services. LNDF secures the housing and Miriam's House provides services. Funds are received through the Supportive Housing Program.
Shelter-Plus Care - 10 units assisted over 5 years; estimate assistance to 20 households
This program will provide more than $320,000 in rental assistance.
